Who we are

Meet Jackie. I am the person behind Virtually Assist and who will be supporting you with your virtual administration requirements.

I have more than 35 years of secretarial, PA and administrative experience. I specialise in two fields, one is supporting legal professionals, having spent the first 20 years of my career as a legal secretary and paralegal working mainly for Central London law firms, as well as some time in Sydney and Melbourne. The second is Holiday Rental Administration, drawing on my experience of managing holiday rental properties in the Algarve, Portugal.

In 2003 my husband and I upped sticks and relocated from the UK to a sunnier climate in the South of Portugal. It was always a hope of mine to be able to work from home, with the daily commute into London becoming more and more of a chore. Moving abroad was the ideal time to realise this ambition and in 2005 I started working with my first client as a VA. Since then I have been providing virtual administrative support to various sectors in both the UK and Portugal, including legal, workplace consultants, surveyors, market researchers, property management, individual home owners, holiday rentals and condominiums.

I still have a base in the UK and am able to provide virtual office support whether I am in the UK or Portugal. Portugal is on the same time zone as the UK so there is never an issue with timing for my UK based clients.
